Abstract

PURPOSE:To develop an Al alloy fin material for a heat exchanger having excellent strength and sacrificial anode effect by adding and incorporating specific amounts of Mn, Si, Zn, Mg, etc., into Al. CONSTITUTION:0.9-1.5%, by weight, Mn and 1.1-1.5% Si are added and incorporated into Al to form the Al alloy having excellent room temp. strength and 2.1-4.0% Zn and 0.1-0.7% Mg are furthermore added thereto to turn the alloy electrochemcially base, thereby improving the sacrificial anode effect. One or more kinds among 0.03-0.2% Zr, 0.03-0.2% Cr and 0.01-0.2% Ti are moreover incorporated into the alloy to improve the high temp. strength as well, by which the titled fin material contg. high temp. strength of showing excellent sagging resistance to the heating at the time of brazing to a tube material as the fin material and contg. excellent sacrificial anode for the tube material after brazing can be obtd.
