Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a transparent conductive film between membrane EL panels with good repeatability in a simple process by forming a dielectric and furthermore luminescent film on the graphitized conductive membrane of specific composition in the required environment and applying heat treatment thereto in the required atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:A graphitized conductive membrane mainly composed of In2O3 is formed on a glass substrate and a dielectric membrane is formed thereon via substrate heating in oxygen plasma. Furthermore, after a luminescent material is formed, the substrate is heat treated in a reduction atmosphere. As a result, a transparent conductive film between membrane EL panels is formed with good repeatability in a simple process, because a graphitized film having a wide range of film formation conditions is used.
