Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the mechanical strength of a piezoelectric element such as tensile strength and deflective strength and its life characteristics, by a method wherein, after an internal electrode is formed on a green sheet, dielectric ceramic powder after calcination whose size is less than or equal to a specific valve is sprayed and laminated on the internal electrode surface, and baked. CONSTITUTION:Slurry is made by mixing dielectric ceramic powder of modified PZT after calcination with an adequate amount of organic binder. This slurry is subjected to casting by doctor blade method, and a green sheet is obtained. An inner electrode is formed on one surface of the green sheet by screen printing. On the inner electrode surface, the modified PZT powder after calcination whose size is less than or equal to 1mum is sprayed. To this modified PZT powder after calcination, the same composition that is used for the green sheet is applied. The desired number of green sheets obtained in the above manner are stacked, and unified into a body by applying heat and pressure. After degreasing and baking, an external electrode is spread and baked. Then, by polarizing, a laminated ceramic piezoelectric element 1 is manufactured.
