An address signal from the diagnostic device is inputted to a diagnostic circuit 3 via an address register 2 and the output of the circuit 3 is selected by a selector 4 in place of the read data and check bit from the memory 5 in response to the setting result to of the register 1 and the result is sent to the circuit 6. The circuit 6 checks the diagnostic data selected by the selector according to the prescribed error correction code and sends the result to a comparator circuit 7.
