Abstract
PURPOSE: To retain a material to be cooled, in a constant temperature regardless of the outside temperature, by providing a porous layer covering the surface of the material to be cooled and exuding a coolant on the surface of the porous layer. CONSTITUTION: A porous layer 2 is formed on the surface of a material 1 to be cooled, so as to cover the material 1. Further, a main pipe 3 is arranged along the inside of the material 1, and a number of fine tubular passages 4 having minute paths for a cooling liquid are laid between the main pipe 3 and the porous layer 2. The cooling liquid such as water or the like is supplied to the main pipe 3 and exuded to the surface of the porous layer 2 through the passages 4 for the cooling liquid. The cooling liquid exuded to the surface deprives the material of heat owing to the latent heat in the evaporation process to protect the material 1 from a high temperature.
