CONSTITUTION:An electric charge generating and transferring layer 3 made of a resin binder contg. an electric charge generating material, a positive hole transferring material and 0.1-3wt.% electrically conductive inorg. fine powder basing on the amt. of the resin binder is formed on an electric charge transferring layer 2 made of a resin binder contg. a positive hole transferring material. By this structure, the practical electric charge generating region of the layer 3 having a sufficiently large thickness is restricted to a position near the surface, bulk trapping is prevented, and generated electric charges are surely transferred and flow in the layer 2. The sensitivity of the resulting photosensitive body is increased and the residual potential is reduced. The layer 3 wears out gradually but a new electric charge generating region is always formed at a position near the surface.
