Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a lightweight generator by performing 50/60 Hz conversion of the high frequency output from the generator variable depending on the speed thereof. CONSTITUTION: A magnetism generated from a pole 11 induces a weak current in a winding 10 at the time of turning about the core member of a stator 9. The current is recirculated toward the winding of a rotor 1 through a common electronic regulator 17 and the field of the pole 11 is enhanced until a voltage induced in the winding 10 of the stator 9 reaches a predetermined rated level. A regulator 12 sustains an excited state for ensuring that the voltage induced in the winding 10 has the predetermined rated level regardless of charge and speed within some limit, i.e., the operating speed limit of a generator. When the generator is coupled with a prime mover under state, a high frequency current variable depending on the speed of the generator can be generated. The high frequency current is then rectified and converted into a commercial frequency.
