Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a film, which has beautiful, metallic luster and is excellent in the adhesion of deposited metal film, printability of metal deposited surface, adhesion between the metal deposited surface and other kind of film and the impact resistance and slip properties of which is improved, by a method wherein the specified amounts of specified polyethylene and fine organic resin powder are added to polypropylene-based resin. CONSTITUTION:A metal deposited polypropylene film is produced by depositing metal onto the surface of a film made of a composition, which is prepared by adding 1-10 parts by weight of polyethylene-based resin with a density of 0.930 or more and 0.01-0.5 parts by weight of fine organic resin powder per 100 parts by weight of polypropylene-based resin. Preferable polypropylene- based resin contains 70wt.% or more of propylene constituent and 50wt.% or more of crystalline ethylene-propylene copolymer, crystalline propylene-alpha-olefin copolymer or crystalline ethylene-propylene-buten terpolymer or mixture of them, the crystalline melting point of each of which is 150 deg.C or lower. Further, the preferable ratio of the melt flow rate of polypropylene to that of polyethylene is 0.5 or more.
