Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a curable resin composition capable of giving cured products by improved adhesivity, tackiness and shrinkability, comprising a novel butadiene-vinyl aromatic compound-based copolymer carrying, in the main chain, functional group containing vinyl unsaturated group. CONSTITUTION:The objective curable resin consisting of a butadiene-vinyl aromatic compound-based copolymer with a melting point of >=35 deg.C, can be obtained by reaction between (A) a butadiene-vinyl aromatic compound-based copolymer where the main chain consists of butadiene-vinyl aromatic compound copolymer with the weight ratio of butadiene to the vinyl aromatic compound ranging from 70/30-20/80, >=50% of the butadiene unit representing 1,2-linkage, and number-average molecular weight of 500-20,000, also carrying -COOH at the end and/or side chain of said main chain and (B) a compound having in the molecule at least are epoxy group and C=C linkage, of formula I, II or III (R is H or CH3; X is residue resulted from partial esterification of polyfunctional epoxy compound; n is 1-3) in such amounts as to be 0.5-1.1 equivalents of the epoxy group in the component B per equivalent of the COOH group in the component A.
