CONSTITUTION:When a reception data 2 and a reception clock 3 are supplied to a frame synchronizing circuit 1 at the receiver side, the frame synchronizing circuit 1 detects a frame synchronizing bit 13 to establish the frame synchronization. An address counter 5 generates a frame number bit designation pulse 6 designating an address of a frame number bit 14 existing next to the frame synchronizing bit 13 of each frame 12 for each frame. A frame number detection circuit 7 uses a frame number bit designation pulse 6 to output a numerical data representing the frame number to a multi-frame synchronizing circuit 9. Thus, the multi-frame synchronizing is established as soon as the frame synchronization is established.
