Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition excellent in flexibility, impact resistance, chemical resistance and secondary processability, by mixing a specified polyamide elastomer with a modified ethylene/propylene copolymer and an ionomer resin. CONSTITUTION:1mol. of an ethylene/propylene copolymer containing ethylene units and propylene units at a weight ratio of 60:40-90:10 and having a mol.wt. >=1,000,000 is reacted with 0.001-1.0mol. of a dibasic acid anhydride (e.g., maleic anhydride) to obtain a modified ethylene/propylene copolymer (B). 100pts.wt. polyamide elastomer (A) containing 30-90wt.% structural units of the formula, derived from an aminocarboxylic acid monomer and a lactam monomer and having a melt flow index [ASTM D-1238 (235 deg.C, 2,160g)] of 1-100 is mixed with 3-100pts.wt. component B and 3-50pts.wt. ionomer resin (C) of a melt flow index [ASTM D-1238 (190 deg.C, 2,160g)] of 0.2-3.
