Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an image where there is no central blanking of an image dot by forming an electrode constitution body of a conductive layer and a pressure conductive elastic body which varies in resistance value by pressure variation on a foamable elastic base. CONSTITUTION:A toner transfer device consists of the foamable insulating elastic body 1 provided on an aluminum drum 1 and the electrode constitution body 5 which is provided thereupon, and has the conductive layer 3 and varies in conductivity with pressure. This electrode constitution body 5 is supported on an aluminum roller by a connection band 6 and the aluminum roller is brought into contact with the conductive layer 3 to supply a transfer voltage from the outside. Therefore, a photosensitive body as an image carrier 10 and the electrode constitution body 5 of a pressure conductive rubber sheet with the conductive layer can be brought into contact with soft pressure. Thus, the photosensitive body with a toner image and the electrode constitution body for transfer are made to contact each other softly to prevent an image dot from becoming central blanking when they are brought into contact with high pressure.
