Abstract
PURPOSE:To smooth the surface of a conductive layer and to prevent debonding of a flexible board by applying conductive paste for soldering onto an electrode terminal and by press-rolling the conductive paste with a roller thereafter to form a conductive layer. CONSTITUTION:When forming component elements on a multi-cavity glass substrate 12, conductive paste applied by print onto electrode terminals 8a, 8a..., and the surface of paste B is press-rolled with a roller A thereafter to smooth the surface of a conductive layer 9. This process prevents air from entering recesses of the surface of the layer 9 when a flexible printed board is connected, this improving leakage properties of the conductive layer 9 and solder. Also, since the maximum thickness of the conductive layer 9 which consists of conductive paste B is controlled within the specified thickness, defective cell gap caused by thickness irregularities of the layer 9 can be prevented.
