CONSTITUTION:The surface of each carrier particle is coated with the releasable resin containing the white type conductive agent or not, and the intrinsic resistivity of the carrier is controlled to 4.5X10<3>-1.5X10<16>OMEGA.cm when a DC electric field of 50V/cm is applied, and to 1.5X10<8>-9.5X10<15>OMEGA.cm when 100V/cm is applied. Such a severe regulation of the resistivity permits an image to be given a proper edge effect and made sharp, and accordingly, a high-quality image to be obtained.
