Abstract
PURPOSE:To inexpensively attain ease of manufacture by varying radiation power distribution depending on the thickness distribution of a radome so as to reduce the side lobe. CONSTITUTION:The radome 2 whose middle part is made thin and whose thick ness is gradually thicker toward the circumferential part is provided on an array antenna 1 consists of plural radiation elements 7. As the array antenna 1, the antenna consists of a radiation circuit 3 formed with, e.g., plural radiation elements 7, a feeding circuit 4 formed with a feeder 10 coupled electromagnetical ly with the radiation element 7 and the lamination of the ground conductor 5 via a spacer 6 made of a plastic foamed substance. Thus, the transmission performance of a radio wave has a difference in providing a distribution to the thickness of the radome 2 and radiation power distribution is provided on the array antenna 1. Thus, the antenna with ease of manufacture, low cost and low side lobe level is obtained.
