Abstract

PURPOSE: To correct the gradation characteristic of each image sensor to obtain a uniform picture signal by providing a gradation converting circuit where data obtained by correcting gradation characteristics of respective image sensor elements is stored.
CONSTITUTION: An A/D converter 11 to which reference levels of white level and black level are given from a reference level holding and supply circuit 12 converts the analog video signal from each image sensor element to digital data. A multiplexer 13 receives the output of each A/D converter 11 and outputs data of a channel corresponding to a switching signal and supplies this data to a gradation converting circuit 14. The converting circuit 14 corrects the gradation characteristic of each image sensor element in accordance with preliminarily stored correction data for every channel. Thus, the gradation characteristic of each image sensor is corrected to obtain a uniform picture signal.
