Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the input loss and to make the size of the circuit small by providing a characteristic impedance different from a waveguide characteristic impedance by a waveguide metal thick part, an antenna probe and a dielectric spacer so as to omit an input matching circuit. CONSTITUTION:A microwave signal is given to an aperture of a waveguide 11 and received by an antenna probe 12. In leading the signal to a circuit board 14, a characteristic impedance different from the characteristic impedance of the waveguide 11 is provided to a coaxial line comprising a probe 12, a dielectric spacer 13 and a metal thick part of a waveguide 11 by using a spacer 13 to support the part of the probe 12 with different diameter. Thus, the input matching circuit indispensable to an amplifier of this type is not required and the insertion loss at a microwave band is improved remarkably and the size of the circuit is decreased by reducing number of components.
