Claims (22)
- 합금 잉곳(alloy ingot)을 형성하기 위한 방법으로서,
진공 아크 재용융 장치의 도가니 내에 합금 잉곳을 배치하는 단계, 및
도가니의 합금 라이너 내로 합금 전극을 진공 아크 재용융시켜서 내부 잉곳 코어에 야금학적으로 접합된 외층을 포함하는 합금 잉곳을 형성하는 단계를 포함하는 합금 잉곳 형성 방법. - 제1항에 있어서, 상기 합금 라이너는 합금 전극을 포함하는 합금보다 연성이 높은 합금을 포함하는 것인 합금 잉곳 형성 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 합금 전극은 니켈계 합금, 철계 합금, 니켈-철계 합금 및 코발트계 합금으로 구성된 그룹에서 선택된 합금을 포함하는 것인 합금 잉곳 형성 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 합금 전극은 Alloy 718, Alloy 720, Rene 41(상표명), Rene 88(상표명) 합금 및 Waspaloy(등록상표) 합금으로 구성된 그룹에서 선택된 합금을 포함하는 것인 합금 잉곳 형성 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 합금 라이너는 니켈계 합금을 포함하는 것인 합금 잉곳 형성 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 합금 잉곳의 열간 가공(hot working) 단계를 추가로 포함하되, 상기 열간 가공 단계는 외층에 힘을 인가하며, 상기 힘은 합금 잉곳을 소성 변형시키는 단계를 포함하는 것인 합금 잉곳 형성 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 합금 잉곳의 열간 가공 단계는 상기 합금 잉곳의 업셋-신선 단조 단계를 포함하는 것인 합금 잉곳 형성 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 합금 잉곳의 열간 가공 후, 상기 합금 잉곳으로부터 외층의 적어도 일부를 제거하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것인 합금 잉곳 형성 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 방법은 니켈계 초합금 잉곳으로부터 성형된 상기 단조 니켈계 초합금 제품의 수율을 개선시키는 것인 합금 잉곳 형성 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 방법은 주조 니켈계 초합금 잉곳으로부터 전신가공(wrought) 니켈계 초합금 빌릿(billet)을 생산하는 것인 합금 잉곳 형성 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 진공 유도 용융(vacuum induction melting) 작업을 이용하여 상기 합금 전극을 제공하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 합금 잉곳 형성 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 진공 유도 용융-일렉트로슬래그 정련(electroslag refining) 작업을 이용하여 상기 합금 전극을 제공하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것인 합금 잉곳 형성 방법.
- 제1항의 방법에 의해 형성되는 합금 잉곳.
- 합금 잉곳을 가공하기 위한 방법으로서,
상기 합금 잉곳을 소성 변형시키기 위해 힘을 인가하되,
상기 잉곳은 내부 잉곳 코어에 야금학적으로 접합된 외층을 포함하며,
상기 외층은 상기 내부 잉곳 코어를 포함하는 합금보다 연성이 높은 합금을 포함하고 상기 외층은 합금 잉곳의 표면 크랙의 발생을 저감시키는, 합금 잉곳 변형 단계를 포함하는 것인 합금 잉곳 가공 방법. - 제14항에 있어서, 상기 합금 잉곳이 변형된 후, 상기 합금 잉곳으로부터 외층의 적어도 일부를 제거하는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 것인 합금 잉곳 가공 방법.
- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 내부 잉곳 코어는 니켈계 합금, 철계 합금, 니켈-철계 합금 및 코발트계 합금으로 구성된 그룹에서 선택된 합금을 포함하는 것인 합금 잉곳 가공 방법.
- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 내부 잉곳 코어는 Alloy 718, Alloy 720, Rene 41(상표명) 합금, Rene 88(상표명) 합금 및 Waspaloy(등록상표) 합금으로 구성된 그룹에서 선택된 합금을 포함하는 것인 합금 잉곳 가공 방법.

- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 방법은 니켈계 초합금 잉곳으로부터 형성되는 단조 니켈계 초합금 제품의 수율을 개선하는 것인 합금 잉곳 가공 방법.
- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 방법은 주조 니켈계 초합금 잉곳으로부터 전신가공 니켈계 초합금 빌릿을 생산하는 것인 합금 잉곳 가공 방법.
