Abstract

L'invention concerne des contenants en polyester qui sont produits à partir de préformes en polyester, les préformes présentant de préférence une couche thermoplastique surmoulée sur au moins une partie de la surface extérieure de la préforme. La préforme est produite par surmoulage de la couche thermoplastique sur la surface de préforme en une ou plusieurs opérations de surmoulage. Dans un mode de réalisation de surmoulage unique, la préforme présente une couche de corps d'une première couleur et la couche surmoulée d'une deuxième couleur. La couche surmoulée peut présenter un gradient d'épaisseur qui varie au niveau de l'épaisseur d'une extrémité de la préforme à une autre extrémité adjacente de la préforme. Cela donne au contenant moulé par soufflage un aspect unique selon lequel le contenant est sensiblement transparent ou d'une première couleur et les couches surmoulées sont de différentes couleurs. Les couches surmoulées peuvent présenter une épaisseur et un gradient de couleur. Une troisième couleur peut être obtenue à partir du mélange de la première couleur et des différentes couleurs des couches surmoulées, la première couleur et les différentes couleurs pouvant être perçues respectivement. Ceci peut entraîner l'obtention uniquement d'une première couleur à une extrémité et d'une deuxième couleur à une autre extrémité avec un troisième mélange de couleur variable intermédiaire entre une extrémité et l'autre extrémité. La couleur du liquide contenu peut également ajouter au mélange de couleur lorsque le contenant est sensiblement transparent.
