Abstract

Invenţia se referă la medicină şi este destinată restabilirii metabolismului ideal al mamiferelor obeze, în special la oameni, sau profilaxiei obezităţii.Metoda propusă constă în administrarea unei cantităţi eficiente de hormon somatotrop în combinare cu o cantitate eficientă de IGF-1. Hormonul somatotrop se administrează în aşa mod, ca prezenţa acestuia în sânge să fie de lungă durată şi terapeutic eficientă, de exemplu, prin intermediul infuziei continue sau injecţiilor frecvente, ori prin administrarea unei formulări de cedare durabilă.Rezultatul invenţiei constă în efectele sinergice ale GH şi IGF-1 de deprimare a lipogenezei şi lipolitice, în reducerea efectelor secundare ale ambilor hormoni şi în prevenirea dezvoltării afecţiunilor-consecinţă a obezităţii, iar în cazul diabetului - în diminuarea necesităţii în insulină până la excluderea folosirii ei.
