Abstract

Se describen composiciones y procedimientos catalíticos para conversiones económicas de hidrocarburos de alcano inferior. En términos generales, la presente invención describe composiciones sólidas que contienen óxidos de metal mixtos que presentan actividad catalítica para amoxidación de hidrocarburos de alcano inferior para producir un nitrilo insaturado con rendimientos altos. En general, estas composiciones de óxido sólidas comprenden, como elementos componentes, molibdeno (Mo), vanadio (V), niobio (Nb) y por lo menos un elemento activo que se selecciona a partir del grupo que consiste de elementos que tienen la capacidad de formar iones positivos. Las composiciones catalíticas de óxido de metal mixto, de manera conveniente comprenden una o más fases cristalinas de las cuales por lo menos una de las fases tiene volumen de celda unitario y relación de aspecto predeterminados. También se describen métodos para formar los catalizadores mejorados que tienen la estructura cristalina deseada y procedimientos de amoxidación para conversión de alcanos inferiores.
