Abstract
La invención se refiere a un método y aparato para preparar compuesto(s) de litio a partir de un mineral que contiene litio. El método comprende a) una etapa de lixiviación, en la que el mineral que contiene litio se lixivia en una solución acuosa de lixiviación que contiene carbonato alcalino, para liberar litio y fosfato(s) del mineral que contiene litio, obteniendo así una suspensión de lixiviación que contiene carbonato de litio y una suspensión de lixiviación de fosfato(s), b) una etapa de carbonización, en donde la suspensión de lixiviación que contiene carbonato de litio y fosfato(s), obtenida de la etapa de lixiviación, se hace reaccionar con un compuesto de metal alcalinotérreo en presencia de CO2 para obtener una suspensión carbonatada que contiene hidrogenocarbonato de litio, y para precipitar fosfato(s) contenido(s) en la suspensión de lixiviación como compuesto(s) de fosfato insoluble(s), c) una etapa de separación sólido-líquido, en la que la suspensión carbonatada obtenida de la etapa de carbonización se somete a separación sólido-líquido en la que el mineral no disuelto y los compuesto(s) de fosfato se separan como sólidos que pueden recuperarse o de descartarse, obteniendo así una solución que contiene hidrogenocarbonato de litio.
