Abstract
El uso de dianhidrogalactitol proporciona una modalidad terapéutica novedosa para el tratamiento de glioblastoma multiforme y meduloblastoma. El dianhidrogalactitol actúa como un agente alquilante en el ADN que crea la metilación en N7. El dianhidrogalactitol es efectivo en suprimir el crecimiento de células madre de cáncer y es activo en contra de tumores que son refractarios a temozolomida; el fármaco actúa independientemente del mecanismo de reparación de MGMT.
