Abstract

La presente invención es un umbral de puerta, el cual incluye una parte del marco donde se monta un panel de puerta fijo y un panel de puerta deslizable. El panel de puerta fijo se monta en un extremo del marco, para obstruir una parte de una abertura definida adentro del marco. El panel de puerta deslizable se puede mover sobre una pista que se extiende longitudinalmente, generalmente paralela al panel de puerta fijo. La pista es definida por el umbral. El panel de puerta deslizable está provisto con una dimensión longitudinal suficiente para cerrar una parte de la abertura definida adentro de el marco, la cual no queda obstruida por el panel de puerta fijo. La pista sobre la cual se mueve el panel de puerta deslizble se dispone hacia adentro de el panel de puerta fijo. El umbral incluye un piso que es externo a la abertura definida adentro del marco que no está obstruido por el panel de puerta fijo. Adicionalmente, el umbral incluye una plataforma que se eleva arriba de el piso del umbral. La plataforma se dispone intermedia a la pista del panel de puerta deslizable, y el panel de puerta fijo se extiende substancialmente por la longitud del panel de puerta fijo.
