Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a foamable fire resistant coating composition comprising an epoxy resin, a curing agent, a flame retardant, a foaming agent, an acid catalyst and fiber. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a foamable fire resistant coating composition, wherein the flame retardant contains 20% or less by weight of triphenyl phosphate and has a pyrolysis temperature of 250?C or higher, thereby reducing the gas toxicity, imparting flexibility to a foam layer, and preventing cracks from occurring on a carbonized layer, ultimately improving long-term fire resistance.
