Abstract
Foreliggende oppfinnelse angår en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av en komposittgass-separasjonsmodul samt gass-separasjonsmoduler som er dannet ved hjelp av fremgangsmåten. Foreliggende oppfinnelse angår også en fremgangsmåte for selektivt å skille hydrogengass fra en hydrogengassholdig gassformig strøm. I én utførelse inkluderer fremgangsmåten for fremstilling av en komposittgass-separasjonmodul avsetting av et første materiale på et porøst substrat, hvorved det dannes et belagt substrat. Det belagte substratet slipes av, hvorved det dannes et polert substrat. Et andre materiale avsettes deretter på det polerte substratet. Det første materialet, det andre materialet eller både det første materialet og det andre materialet kan inkludere et gass-selektivt materiale. For eksempel kan det gass-selektive materialet inkludere et hydrogenselektivt metall, f.eks. palladium, eller en legering derav. I én utførelse inkluderer fremgangsmåten trinnet med å danne en tett gass-selektiv membran over det porøse substratet. Gjennomføring av foreliggende oppfinnelse kan gi gass-separasjonsmoduler som har tynnere og/eller mer ensartede gass-selektive membraner enn det som er mulig med anvendelse av konvensjonelle fremstillingsteknikker.
