Abstract

En anordning for behandling av slam omfatter en presse (3) for avvanning av slammet, en kompakteringsinnretning (10) for mottaking og kompaktering av slam som er avvannet av pressen, en fragmenteringsinnretning (23) for mottaking og fragmentering av slam som er kompaktert av kompakteringsinnretningen, og en rørtransportør (30) for transportering av fragmentert slam fra fragmenteringsinnretningen. Som et resultat av dette er det mulig å avvanne slammet til en høy grad av tørrhet samtidig som det avvannede slam kan transporteres i rørtransportøren over betydelig avstander og ved en hvilken som helst skråstilling i forhold til horisontalen.
