Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av enantiomert rene (S)-eller (R)-4-halo-3-hydroksybutyrater med formel (I), hvor Rer CHX, CHXeller CX, og X, uavhengig, representerer Cl og/eller Br, og hvor Rer C.-alkyl, C.-cykloalkyl, aryl eller aralkyl, idet hvert aryl eller aralkyl eventuelt er ytterligere substituert med en eller flere C_-alkylgrupper og/eller halogenatomer, ved asymmetrisk hydrogenering av 4-halo-3-oksosmørsyre-estere med formel (II),. hvor R, Rog X er som definert ovenfor, i nærvær av en katalysator av et ruteniumkompleks som omfatter en chiral ligand med formel (III).
