Abstract

Oppfinnelsen angår inklusjonen av smøremidler som gir smøring i borefluider hvor smøremiddel-kompatibilitet og/eller ytelse kan være negativt påvirket av andre komponenter i borefluidet, spesielt divalente kationer så som kalsium, formiatsalter eller meget alkaliske komponenter så som alkalisilikat. l denne forbindelse er oppfinnelsen et borefluid som har en vandig saltlakefase som omfatter minst én av: a) oppløst kalsium, vanligvis som Ca2+ ioner, spesielt i en konsentrasjon på minst 0,1 molar, b) oppløst formiat, vanligvis som kalium eller særlig, cesiumsalt (cesiumformiat) spesielt i en konsentrasjon på minst 0,5 molar; c) oppløst silikat, vanligvis tilveiebrakt som alkalimetall, særlig natrium, silikat, spesielt i en konsentrasjon på minst 0,4 molar; eller d) saltlakesalter i en konsentrasjon på minst 90 vekt-% av konsentrasjonen ved metning; og videre omfattende minst én polyalkylenglykol og et smøremiddel som omfatter minst én hydrokarbyl- polyeterfosfat.
