Abstract
Et apparat for dampreformering av hydrokarboner er beskrevet, omfattende en varmevekslingsreformer hvori det er anbrakt et flertall vertikale katalysatorfylte rør, hvorigjennom en gassblanding omfattende hydrokarbon og vanndamp kan føres, og hvortil varme kan overføres ved hjelp av et varmevekslingsmedium som strømmer omkring de utvendige røroverflater, hvori varmevekslingstilpasningsanordninger er anordnet inne i reformeren slik at rørene har en sone med lavere varmeveksling som strekker seg fra bunnen av katalysatoren opp til 25 % av katalysatordybden med ikke noen varmevekslingsøkende anordninger anordnet i den nevnte sone. En prosess for dampreformering av hydrokarboner ved bruk av nevnte apparat er også beskrevet.
