Den foreliggende oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av en polymerdispersjon innbefattende polymerisering av én eller flere vannoppløselige anioniske monomerer (m) og en eller flere ikke-ioniske vinylmonomerer (m) til stede i en reaksjonsblanding som videre innbefatter en polymerstabilisator (B) og en polymerkostabilisator (C). Den angår videre en polymerdispersjon, anvendelsen av polymerdispersjonen og en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av papir.
