Abstract
Et fluorosefritt, spiselig fluorioninneholdende preparat om- fattende en blanding av farmasøytisk akseptabelt fluorid og monofluorfosfat i et vektforhold for å tilveiebringe ikke mer enn 50 %, og fortrinnsvis ikke mer enn 25 %, tilgjengelige fluorioner fra fluoridet og balansen fra mono- fluorfosfatet. Med "fluorosefritt" pre- parat er ment et preparat som, når det inntas, minimaliserer eller forebygger forekomsten av fluorose som er en van- lig effekt når fluor inntas. Preparatet kan inneholde ytterligere farmasøytisk akseptable adjuvanser, slik som vit- aminer, fargestoffer, smaksstoffer, bærere, stabiliseringsmidler, konser- veringsmidler og medikamenter, og kan foreligge i form av et pulver, tablett, kapsel, pille eller en væske i en egnet spiselig bærer. Foretrukne forbindelser er alkalimetall-, ammonium- og amin- fluorider og monofluorfosfater. De mest foretrukne forbindelser er natrium- fluorid (NaF) og natriummonofluorfosfat (MFP), hvis formel er Na2FP03, og de tilsvarende kaliumsalter. Preparatene er spesielt til- passet anvendelse som et kosttilskudd for vesentlig umiddelbart å tilveie- bringe lave doseringer av fluorioner fra fluoridforbindelsen ved inntak, og en langsom, forlenget frigivelse av fluorioner fra monofluorfosfatet.
