Abstract

En sikker mikroprosessor er tllvelebragt med redusert sårbarhet overfor angrep. Tidligere er den sikre operasjonen hos silke prosessorer blitt overvunnet ved å observere opptredenen av klokken som anvendes av prosessoren. Slike observasjoner og forutsigelsen av påfølgende klokkepulser derfra, hindres ved å modulere klokken med en i alt vesentlig vilkårlig funksjon til å gl en uforutsigbar strøm av klokkepulser. Den sikre prosessoren reagerer på den uforutsigbare strøm av klokkepulser i den hensikt å behandle data i henhold til en sikkerhetsalgoritme.
