Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for å fremskaffe en mikrobølge-reso- nator omfattende et hulrom (50) som i det minste er definert av en hovedsakelig sylindrisk vegg (64) med en elektrisk ledende indre flate og omfattende et generelt sylindrisk stykke av lavtapsdielektrisk materiale (22), karakterisert ved å forme et gene- relt sylindrisk stykke av lavtapsdielektrisk materi- ale av forhåndsbestemt størrelse, og plassere samme i et hulrom for å fremskaffe en mikrobølge-resonator som opererer i en spesiell modus ved en spesiell frekvens ved en spesiell temperatur. Mikrobølge- stråling svarende til en ytterligere operasjonsmodus blir deretter ført inn i hulrommet, og deretter blir den frekvens som svarer til den ytterligere opera- sjonsmodus, ettersøkt og målt. Et ytterligere generelt sylindrisk stykke av dielektrisk materiale blir fremskaffet ved skallering fra det første stykket av dielektrisk materiale i henhold til for- holdet mellom den første og andre frekvens.
