Abstract

Syntetiske peptider som omfatter den følgende spesifikke sekvens: Xaa-Pro-Val-Xbb-Xcc-Lys-Arg-W, der Xaa er fraværende eller representerer Cys eller Ser, Xbb representerer His eller Asn, Xcc representerer Leu eller Ile og W representerer en hydrofob peptiddel, et mellomprodukt for produksjon av peptidet, en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av peptidet, et lungeoverflate- aktivt middel som omfatter peptidet og en fettblanding, og et legemiddel for behandling av respiratorisk lidelsessyndrom som inneholder det overflateaktive middelet som den aktive ingrediens. Peptidet er enkelt å isolere og rense, og passer for masseproduksjon. Siden det er lett løselig i metanol og lignende kan det enkelt blandes med en fettblanding og er derfor vel egnet for fremstilling av et lungeoverflateaktivt middel. Siden det lungeoverflateaktive middelet er lett å suspendere og har en sterk overflateaktivitet er det nyttig som behandling mot respiratorisk lidelsessyndrom.
