Abstract

Elektroaktivert material omfattende fibre, hvorav minst en del er elektrisk ledende, et bindemiddel, og som er kjenne- tegnet ved at det ytterligere omfatter et elektrokatalytisk middel som utgjøres av partikler av oksyd av rutenium, platina, palladium, iridium, eller en blanding derav, eller av ett eller flere av de nevnte oksyder som er fordelt, i det minste delvis, på en elektrisk ledende bærer. Det elektro- aktiverte material kan særlig anvendes som et katodeelement i en elektrolysecelle, og særlig en celle for elektrolyse av vandige natriumkloridløsninger. Den foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører også et komposittmaterial omfattende (a) et material med høy porøsitet, (b) det ovennevnte elektroaktiverte material. Endelig vedrører oppfinnelsen et komposittmaterial omfattende, fra den ene overflaten til den andre, (a) en metalloverflate med høy porøsitet, (b) det ovennevnte elektroaktiverte material, (c) en separator.
