Abstract

Oppfinnelsen vedrører forbindelser med generell formel (I) hvor R-L representerer et hydrogenatom, en (C^-Cg) alkylgruppe eller en fenyl (C1-C4) alkylgruppe, R2 representerer et hydrogenatom eller en (C^-Cg)alkylgruppe, og R3, R4 og R5 representerer hver, uavhengig av hverandre, et hydrogenatom eller halogenatom eller en trifluormetylgruppe, cyanogruppe, hydroksygruppe, (C^-Cg)alkylgruppe eller (C^-Cg)alkoksygruppe. Resultatene av biologiske forsøk gjennomført på de nevnte forbindelser viser at de er kraftige og selektive kolinergiske ligander for nikotinreseptorer. Disse resultater foreslår at forbindelsene kan anvendes for å behandle eller forebygge lidelser som er relatert til dysfunksjon av nikotinreseptorer, særlig i sentralnerve- systemet eller i det gastrointestinale system.
