The essence of the industrial design is the spatial shape of the lounge sofa, distinguished by its decorative, functional, and ergonomic qualities related to the comfort of sitting or lying down, as well as the ability to fold and unfold the sofa for specific functions. The subject of the industrial design is shown in the attached illustration, which depicts the lounge sofa from the front. The lounge sofa, according to the industrial design, has a furniture or upholstery fabric on its outer surface. The side surfaces of the sofa: the seat, the bedding compartment, and the furniture legs, forming a single, curved line on each side of the front edge, stylizing the outline of a trapezoid in the front view of the sofa, with the upper base in the lower part of the furniture. The lower base of the trapezoid forms the front edge of the entire seat, which consists of a central seat surface that meets on both sides with angled, upward-tilted side sections. The central seat surface transitions from the front horizontal plane to the vertical plane in large arcs, coinciding with the lower edge of the seat, which is arc-shaped along its entire length and tilts downward. The outline of the central seat surface edge on the vertical plane of the seat is accentuated by a thick cylindrical piping. The three-segment linear division of the seat surface continues onto the rear backrest, creating a uniform, highly aesthetic front surface of the sofa, giving it a distinctive style, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
