Opis wynalazkuDescription of the invention
The subject of the invention is a method of obtaining chemical compounds with a perovskite structure used in the processes of chemical oxygen transfer in the oxide loop during combustion (Chemical Looping Combustion) or gasification (Chemical Looping Gasification).
Recent years have seen a growing interest in improving the efficiency of the combustion process of fuels, both gaseous and solid, where one of the ways is to separate and capture CO2 without additional energy expenditure. This effect is achieved thanks to the method of oxygen transfer by means of a solid circulating between two reactors, an oxygen carrier in the so-called chemical oxide loop.
Perowskity to grupa nieorganicznych związków chemicznych, soli o ogólnym wzorze ABK3, gdzie A - kation metalu z grupy litowców lub berylowców, B - kation metalu przejściowego o liczbie koordynacyjnej równej 6 (najczęściej tytan, niob, tantal), zaś X3 zazwyczaj anion tlenkowy O2-, rzadziej halogenkowy lub siarczkowy.Perovskites are a group of inorganic chemical compounds, salts of the general formula ABK3, where A - a metal cation from the alkali or alkali metal group, B - a transition metal cation with a coordination number equal to 6 (most often titanium, niobium, tantalum), and X3 usually an oxide anion O 2 - , more rarely halide or sulfide.
Many potential oxygen carriers are known, including various compositions of copper, manganese, iron or nickel oxides used as active agents and aluminum oxide, titanium dioxide, and zirconium dioxide used as inert material. Inert materials are added in an amount of several dozen percent by weight to the active material, thanks to which an increase in the lifetime of oxygen carriers is obtained, inter alia by reducing their abrasion.
Początkowo chemiczną pętlę tlenkową stosowano do procesu spalania paliw gazowych, w późniejszym okresie poszerzono o spalanie paliw stałych (w tym biomasy i węgla). Prowadzą je następujące ośrodki: Tokyo Institute of Technology w Japonii, National Institute for Resources and Environment (NIRE) Japonia, Chalmers University of Technology w Gothenburg w Szwecji, Royal Institute of Technology w Sztokholmie, w Instituto de Carboguimica (CSIC) w Saragossie, w Hiszpanii, czy też w TDA Research, Inc. Kolorado, USA. Patenty w tym zakresie odnoszą się głównie do rozwiązań konstrukcyjnych reaktorów, należy tu wymienić np. opis patentowy US5447024, czy też wynalazek turbiny gazowej używanej w instalacji stosującej pętlę tlenkową opisany w opisie patentowym KR100636881B, czy też w zgłoszeniu patentowym WO2007107730.Initially, the chemical oxide loop was used for the combustion of gaseous fuels, later it was extended to include the combustion of solid fuels (including biomass and coal). The conducted research relates, among others, to: development and selection of the composition of solid oxygen carriers, development of the structure of carrier oxidation reactors and fuel conversion, as well as process efficiency tests. They are run by the following centers: Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan, National Institute for Resources and Environment (NIRE) Japan, Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden, Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Instituto de Carboguimica (CSIC) in Zaragoza, Spain or at TDA Research, Inc. Colorado, USA. The patents in this area mainly relate to the design of reactors, e.g. patent US5447024 or the invention of a gas turbine used in an installation using an oxide loop described in the patent description KR100636881B or in the patent application WO2007107730 should be mentioned here.
W zakresie temperatur 800 - 900°C uzyskuje się stopień konwersji gazu w przedziale 15 - 55%.There are known attempts to gasify coal with the use of chemical oxide loop based on CaS / CaSO4, achieving low emission values. As known materials having a perovskite structure used for the gasification of using compounds having the composition La 1-x Sr x MO 3-0, 5 e Fe, where M = Mn or Fe or Ni, wherein x has a value in the range 0 - 0.4; and β = 0 - 0.1. The above oxide material is used as a solid oxygen carrier, and its lattice oxygen can be used to directly oxidize methane to obtain synthesis gas. In the temperature range of 800 - 900 ° C, the degree of gas conversion is in the range of 15 - 55%.
