Abstract

Przedmiotem rozwiązania jest sposób recyklingu odpadów politereftalanu etylenu PET, zwłaszcza recyklingu surowcowego w celu otrzymania kwasu tereftalowego i glikolu etylenowego. W pierwszym etapie prowadzi się roztwarzanie kawałków odpadów PET w temperaturze od 190°C do 265°C w wysokowrzącym alkoholu jednowodorotlenowym lub wielowodorotlenowym lub w ich mieszaninach, korzystnie z dodatkiem fenolu w obecności katalizatorów. Prowadzi się proces transestryfikacji PET przez dodanie wysokowrzącego alkoholu jednowodorotlenowego lub wielowodorotlenowego lub ich mieszaniny, korzystnie z dodatkiem fenolu i oddestylowuje się glikol etylenowy, który wykorzystuje się w kolejnym cyklu produkcyjnym do procesu roztwarzania PET. Nadmiar glikolu etylenowego odprowadza się jako dodatkowy produkt. W drugim etapie pozostały półprodukt miesza się z niskowrzącym alkoholem lub mieszaniną niskowrzących alkoholi i poddaje transestryfikacji. Oddziela się wysokowrzący alkohol oraz ester kwasu tereftalowego, do którego w trzecim etapie dodaje się wodę z katalizatorem. Prowadzi się proces hydrolizy i oddestylowuje się niskowrzący alkohol. Otrzymaną wodną zawiesinę kwasu tereftalowego poddaje się filtracji, a wydzielony kwas tereftalowy PTA poddaje się myciu oraz suszeniu.
