Nowy związek charakteryzuje się wonią grejpfrutową z nutą cytrusową i ma zastosowanie jako składnik kompozycji zapachowych oraz aromatów spożywczych.The subject of the invention is the 2,4,8-trimethylnone-7-en-2-ol homologue which is 2,5,9-trimethyldec-8-en-2-ol of formula 1. The new compound is characterized by a grapefruit fragrance with a citrus note and is used as an ingredient in flavoring compositions and food flavors.
