Abstract

The subject of the application is a method of producing a modified biofuel FAME intended for compression ignition car engines consists in the fact that the raw material is a mixture of fatty acid methyl esters - FAME with a cloud point not lower than -8 ° C, a pour point not lower than -15 ° C and a cold filter plugging point not lower than -15 ° C is subjected to a solvent separation process into a filtrate, which is a modified biofuel FAME, and a sediment comprising a crystallization step and a filtration step, while in the crystallization step the raw material is subjected to the first dilution with a solvent, which is 1 , 2-dichloropropane, yielding a mixture of the raw material and solvent, which is then cooled at a controlled rate, with the simultaneous introduction of cooled solvent in 1 - 6 portions, at a cooling rate in the range of 0.2 - 8.0 ° C / min, until reaching temperatures from -20 to -30 ° C, the ratio of the total quantity ci solvent to raw material is in the range from 2: 1 to 6.5: 1 (m / m), and the size of the dilution expressed in the mass ratio of the solvent to the raw material is from 0.3: 1 to 3.5: 1 (m / m ), and then in the temperature range from -20 to -30 ° C, the separated precipitate is filtered off, which is washed with the same cold solvent used in the crystallization step, used in an amount of 0.1: 1 to 2: 1 (m / m) expressed in the mass ratio of the solvent to the raw material, and then the solvent is distilled off the filtrate, obtaining the final product with the following reduced: cloud point by 4 to 10 ° C, pour point by up to 10 ° C and cold filter plugging point by 1 to 10 ° C, relative to these temperatures before subjecting the FAME to a solvent separation process into filtrate and precipitate. In addition, the subject of the application is also a modified FAME biofuel for compression ignition automotive engines, which has a cloud point lower than -7 ° C, a pour point lower than -8 ° C and a cold filter plugging point lower than 9 ° C. Modified FAME biofuel for compression-ignition automotive engines is produced by a process according to any variant thereof.
