Abstract
The subject of the application is a method of producing a modified biofuel FAME intended for compression ignition car engines, which consists in the fact that the raw material is a mixture of methyl esters of fatty acids - FAME with a cloud point not lower than -8 ° C, a pour point not lower than - 15 ° C and a cold filter plugging point not lower than -15 ° C is subjected to a solvent separation process into a filtrate, which is a modified biofuel FAME, and a sludge comprising a crystallization step and a filtration step, while in the crystallization step the raw material is subjected to a first dilution with a solvent, which is methyl isobutyl ketone, obtaining a mixture of raw material and solvent, which is then cooled at a controlled rate, with the simultaneous feeding of cooled solvent in 1-6 portions, at a cooling rate in the range of 0.2 - 8.0 ° C / min, until a temperature of - 20 to -30 ° C, the total ratio j the amount of solvent to the raw material is in the range from 2: 1 to 7: 1 (m / m), and the size of the dilution expressed by the mass ratio of the solvent to the raw material is from 0.3: 1 to 3: 1 (m / m), whereby in the temperature range from -20 to -30 ° C, the separated precipitate is filtered off, which is washed with the same cold solvent as used in the crystallization step, used in the amount of 0.1: 1 to 2: 1 (m / m) expressed as mass ratio of the solvent to the raw material, and then the solvent is distilled off the filtrate, obtaining the final product with the following reduced: cloud point by 5 to 11 ° C, flow point by 2 to 12 ° C and cold filter plugging point by 3 to 12 ° C, to these temperatures before subjecting the FAME to a solvent separation process into the filtrate and sediment. In addition, the subject of the application is also a modified FAME biofuel for compression ignition automotive engines, according to the application, which has a cloud point lower than -7 ° C, a pour point lower than -8 ° C and a cold filter plugging point lower than -10 ° C. Modified FAME biofuel for compression ignition car engines is produced by the process of the application according to any variant thereof.
