Abstract

The application concerns a method of strengthening the rock mass for the planned heading excavation in underground mining, especially in hard coal mining. From the existing excavation (2) around the outline of the designed gallery (1) parallel, on its extension to the longitudinal axis (O), protective injection holes (4) of length (L) are drilled, and binding agents whose compressive strength are injected through them after gelling, it is greater than the compressive strength of the surrounding rocks (3), and finally the gallery is drilled (1). The strengthening of the surrounding rocks (3) can be carried out in sections when the surrounding rocks (3) with variable compressive strength are present in the runway. At the ends of sections (L), closing injection openings (6) are preferably made in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (O) of the roadway (1) and binders are injected through them.
