Abstract
Prezenta invenţie se referă la un procedeu de obţinere a acidului acetic prin reacţia etilenei cu oxigenul în prezenţa apei şi a unui catalizator constituit din (a) Pd metalic şi (b) cel puţin un membru ales din grupa constând din heteropoliacizi şi sărurile lor, care constă în accea că, reacţia se desfăşoară în fază gazoasă şi se aduc în reacţie etilenă, oxigen şi abur. Intr-o altă variantă, procedeul de obţinere a acidului acetic prin reacţia etilenei cu oxigenul în prezenţa apei şi a unui catalizator constituit din (a) Pd metalic, (b) cel puţin un membru ales din grupa constând din heteropoliacizi şi sărurile lor şi (c) cel puţin un membru ales din grupa constând din elemente metalice din grupele 11, 14, 15 şi 16 din Tabelul periodic, forma extinsă constă în aceea că, reacţia se desfăşoară în fază gazoasă şi se aduc în reacţie etilenă, oxigen şi abur.
