Abstract

A web unrolled from a roller (7, 8) is cut out into sheets in a transverse cutter (3) which are then supplied to a sheet using machine. To provide a continuous or roller change during the operation without forming in the sheets thicker locations which would affect the printing, a second transverse cutter (10) is arranged beside the first cutter (3) which allows to butt joint a tail end (11) of a web and a head end of the following web (12). The length of the web extending between the two cutters is adjustable.
