Abstract
DC60 (20/01/49) A method for producing basic substances by cultivating microorganisms capable of producing such substances in liquid media in a fermentation tank, resulting in the formation and accumulation of such basic substances by fermentation in the same media, with the total ammonia concentration within a certain period of cultivation being adjusted to a constant value, thus reducing the amount of counter ions, namely, sulfate ions and/or chloride ions. In other words, this invention is a method for producing basic substances that maintains the total ammonia content at a level sufficient to meet the nitrogen source requirements for microbial growth and product production, while at the same time maintaining a level that does not inhibit microbial growth or product production, thus reducing the amount of sulfate ions and chloride ions in the culture media. A method for producing basic substances by cultivating microorganisms capable of producing such substances in liquid media in a fermentation tank, resulting in the formation and accumulation of such basic substances by fermentation in the same media, with the total ammonia concentration within a certain period of cultivation being adjusted to a constant value, thus reducing the amount of counter ions, namely, sulfate ions and/or chloride ions. This reduces the amount of counter ions such as sulfate ions and/or chloride ions used in the culture medium. This invention provides a method for producing a base that maintains the total ammonia content at a level sufficient to meet the nitrogen source requirements for microbial growth and product production, while maintaining a level that does not inhibit microbial growth or product production, thereby reducing the amount of sulfate ions and chloride ions used in the culture medium.
