- a cup shaped guard member 32 is also secured to the gear 25 by means of the screws 31 and entends forwardly in position to partially house the governor weights.

- a shaft having an axial bore, a second shaft having a transverse slot therein adapted to reciprocate in said bore, a pin extended through said first described shaft and the bore therein and the slot in the second described shaft, a governor weight mounted on said pin, and means for operatively connecting said weight with the second described shaft whereby centrifugal force may cause the weight to actuate the second described shaft to move same telescopically relative to the first described shaft.
