Abstract

Nouveau dérivé de l'acide alkylthiobenzoïque optiquement actif représenté par la formule générale (1), dans laquelle R1 représente alkyle C¿1?-C18, R?2¿ représente alkyle C¿1?-C12, et m représente 1 ou 2. Ce composé est ferroélectrique en soi et sous forme de mélange avec d'autres composés à base de cristaux liquides, et présente d'excellentes caractéristiques en tant que cristal liquide dopant, ce qui permet de l'utiliser avantageusement comme élément commutateur optique et dans d'autres applications.
