Abstract

L'invention concerne la production d'un peptide inhibiteur de protéase du type Kunitz (KPI), et son utilisation pour la régulation de l'activité des protéases associées à l'amylase. Cette invention concerne en outre des modèles in vivo et in vitro de l'amylase impliquant le peptide KPI. Le peptide KPI peut également être utilisé pour traiter les troubles de coagulation par régulation des protéases dans le chemin de coagulation. KPI est également utilisé pour inhiber ou atténuer les dommages associés au protéase suite à une blessure, en particulier les blessures à la tête. Des séquences d'acide nucléique codant l'inhibiteur de protéase et des systèmes d'expression pour l'expression de haut niveau de l'inhibiteur actif sont également décrits.
